Strong group of riders showed up to ride. Cat B lead by Angel and Rick rode 65 miles ( Unfamiliar route). Cat A did really good 70+ miles including the Gap. We hope that next year the CPC would include the Gap.. MIllion thanks to Cindy for Sag and treating us like Pros.. From the racers themselves to the friends and families along for the proverbial ride, there was a real sense of camaraderie from the Lone Star State.<br \/>\nThe collective group of racers were not teammates per se; they didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t all wear the same kit, race for the same shop, or always train together. No, this was a smash-up group of cyclists who over the years have competed against each other in one way or another, be it in the Thursday nighters, during weekend training rides, or at the many races throughout the state each year. This staple of our Sunday routes had been forgotten lately; in fact, I hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t ridden it since June. The others were looking forward to the ride, too.<br \/>\nAfter not riding a route for awhile, some changes are bound to crop up. Most of the ones we ran into had to do with road construction. Our main way east out of our neighborhood narrows to a two-lane, unstriped, country-style road for a short stretch.
