\nThe Sam Houston National Forest, one of four National Forests in Texas, is located 50 miles north of Houston. Rolling terrain covered with pines and oaks characterize the forests of the east Texas Pineywoods. Elevations range from 200 to 500 feet above sea level.<\/p>\n
Three routes to choose from to challenge your riding. Choose either 30, 60 or 90 miles under the shade of the pines. Manned rest stops will be placed along the route, approximately spaced every 11-15 miles. This is a road bike ride.<\/p>\n
