Aransas Pass resident leads USO South Texas<\/a><\/h2>\n

\nAransas Pass native Nancy Allen celebrates Veterans\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Day all year long as president and CEO of USO South Texas, founded as the second USO in the country as USO Corpus Christi on April 4, 1941.
\nShe oversaw the opportunistic incorporation of USO South Texas that then raised $2.5 million for the first privately owned building on a federal facility when NAVSTA Ingleside was built in 1990. NAVSTA Ingleside closed in 2010 and now USO South Texas is on a temporary facility on NAS Corpus Christi operating full steam ahead with a wide range of programs and projects.
