But as I gradually approached hwy 20, it became very flat, which was a relief. For some reason, my garmin deleted my 70 mile segment from Van Horn to Fort Hancock. Fort Hancock was my destination for the day, but I did not actually stay there. One thing I had not considered before hand was that Texas belongs to two time zones. It was a pleasant surprise that my extra hour of sleep was absorbed by changing time zones.
