This morning I lived our worst fears, my friends. I got out of my overnight job to find that my Surly Cross Check, which had been double u-locked, was gone. Stolen. I was devastated. I filed a police report with the Austin Police Department and started trolling Craigslist, eBay, pawn shops in the area…anything I could think of. No dice.
\nOn an old reddit post on \/r\/BikingATX I found a link to this Facebook group that exists only to recover stolen bikes in the Austin area. I joined the group and posted my bike.
