The chilly weather finally broke and I rode the “Atascocita – Walden – Huffman” route again. I saw a couple of other bikers. One was riding west over Lake Houston on FM1960. We were opposites: I had a full cool weather outfit of leg warmers, shorts, full finger gloves, long and short sleeve jerseys and a windbreaker jacket. The other biker wore a short sleeve jersey and shorts. I could feel the chill but I was comfortable. I hope he was. The wind blowing over the cool water added to the chill.<\/p>\n

The sun was out in a cloudless sky and the temperature was 68 when I left home at 12:59 and 63 when I got back at 3:30. I made a quick stop at the Huffman Chevron to eat a couple of trail mix bars. This was at the 20.3 mile point of the ride. The weather screen shots while i was stopped.<\/p>\n

I am up to 96 miles for January. This leaves 163 to reach my goal of 259 miles.<\/p>\n
