2016 Bike Camping in Texas<\/a><\/h2>\n

\nSaturday March 5, 2016, 37 miles (60 km) – Total so far: 37 miles (60 km)
\nI was a bit lazy this morning. I woke up and watched a bit of EPL (English Premier League Football for those not in the know). I rolled out of bed around 10am and started finishing the packing. I got out the door and on the road around 11:30am. First issue is getting out of this gigantic, anti-bicycling city called Houston. Luckily there has been a push for bicycle paths, so I was able to take the White Oak Bayou path up toward 43rd St. I took 43rd west which becomes Clay Rd. There is a “bike lane” on Clay, but I really don’t like them as cars don’t try to avoid you if …<\/p>\n
