It was hard to say goodbye but I guess luckily(?) it wasn&#8217;t drawn out since he sorta had to rush to return the car and make his flight. I started cycling around noon and it felt strange to be alone again. Most of the ride I was sort of in this haze. I felt exposed to cars for the first time in a while, but eventually I got used to it. I biked through Bastrop state park which was mostly burnt down from a fire in 2001 and it looked really trippy.
