Of course, in Texas, that means only a couple months\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 respite before heading into another 9 months of our famous all-you-can-race buffet.<\/p>\n<p>This is also invariably the time of year when we start considering new equipment purchases and considering what we can do to prep for next season. It is for this reason I wanted to write about THE best bike component&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/theexaminer.com\/main.asp?SectionID=1&amp;SubSectionID=61&amp;ArticleID=3649\" href=\"http:\/\/theexaminer.com\/main.asp?SectionID=1&amp;SubSectionID=61&amp;ArticleID=3649\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>SEASON OF GIVING: 1000 bicycles, 1000 Bibles<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nby Texas Examiner<br \/>\nEach year for the past 10 years, the Reaud Family Foundation has hosted the Bicycles and Bibles program to help brighten Christmas for as many as 1,000 children, who might otherwise have gone without the joy that comes from receiving gifts during what is traditionally a time of happiness.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/theexaminer.com\/SiteImages\/Article\/3649b.jpg?resize=250%2C165\" alt=\"Bicycles and Bibles\" width=\"250\" height=\"165\" \/><\/p>\n<p>And since the beginning, the focus of the event has never wavered from keeping an eye on God and imparting the spirit of Christmas&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxdfw.com\/dpp\/news\/group-donates-710-bikes-to-students\" href=\"http:\/\/www.myfoxdfw.com\/dpp\/news\/group-donates-710-bikes-to-students\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Group Donates 710 Bikes to Students<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nby MyFox Dallas<br \/>\nNORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas &#8211; Students at one North Richland Hills school got a big surprise on their last day of class before Christmas &#8212; a shiny new bike.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/media2.myfoxdfw.com\/\/photo\/2009\/12\/18\/spokes_tmb0001_20091218221732_320_240.JPG?resize=320%2C240\" alt=\"Apokes for Homes\" width=\"320\" height=\"240\" \/><br \/>\nThe Spokes for Homes non-profit organization donated 710 bicycles and helmets to the students of Carey Frances Thomas School.<\/p>\n<p>Others in the community also helped to make the day special. Gateway Church assembled the bikes.
