Heines was out for an early morning bicycle ride on the SPID Access Road near Paul Jones Avenue when he was hit by a large pickup.<br \/>\nHeines suffered head trauma and other life-threatening injuries. This means a safe bike lane or sidepath (like a wide sidewalk designed for people walking and bicycling). Right of way is limited and currently no bikeways are proposed.<\/p>\n<p>Please attend tomorrow&#8217;s meeting to learn more about the topic and to support building safe bikeways as part of this project! The project is in design now, making right now the cheapest and most efficient time to make changes and start implementing Houston Bike Plan projects!
