I have heard, or read, that you should exercise 20 minutes or more at an intense heart rate for exercise to have any benefit. According to this article, &#8220;Dr. Paul Williams of the University of California at Berkeley thinks that the American Heart Association&#8217;s recommendation of &#8220;half an hour a day of exercise&#8221; is way too little.&#8221;\u00c2\u00a0 The article goes on to discuss how excess sugar in the blood stream affects our health. So you need to exercise more an skip the donuts. Longer rides and no sweet breaks.
