\nThe Hallsburg Elementary School Bicycle Safety Event will be held on April 3 & 4 from 4 to 8 pm. This is an event that the WBC has been a part of for the last 7 years. As part of the school\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s safety program, they teach students proper bicycle safety by reviewing road rules, proper helmet fit, hand signals and bicycle maintenance. Houston Bike Plan Heads to City Council March 22, 2017<\/h2>\n

The Houston Bike Plan has been placed on the council agenda for consideration by the Houston City Council on Wednesday March 22, 2017. The agenda also includes a related item to consider amending Chapter 33 of the Code of Ordinances, providing for the adoption of the Bicycle Master Plan and creation of the Bicycle Advisory Committee.<\/p>\n

City Council first considered these items on March 8, 2017, but they were tagged and action was deferred until Wednesday March 22, 2017.<\/p>\n

City Council’s public session starts at 2 PM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the second floor of City Hall. Public speakers must sign up ahead of time by contacting the City Secretary’s Office. The Bike Plan is item #37 on the agenda, and the Chapter 33 amendment is item #36.<\/p>\n
