The program combines biking and computers.<\/p>\n<p>Friday afternoon, the Patsy Sommer Elementary School will become the first school in Texas to join a unique bike to school to program.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 By then, something will sit at the top of a pole in the schoolyard that the kids will think is really cool.\u00c2\u00a0 It&#8217;s called a RFID reader, and its &#8220;readin&#8217;, &#8216;ritin&#8217; and &#8216;rithmetic&#8221; is designed to help cut down on the obesity epidemic&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.pegasusnews.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pegasusnews.com\/news\/2010\/feb\/01\/dallas-seeking-applicants-bicycle-advisory-committ\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Dallas seeking applicants for Bicycle Advisory Committee<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe City of Dallas is seeking residents to serve on the Bicycle Advisory Committee. The committee, which will help update and replace the 1985 Dallas Bike Plan, will consist of members of the community with a strong interest in improving and expanding the city\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s bicycling culture and bicycle-related infrastructure. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mysanantonio.com\/news\/local_news\/Safe-passing_ordinance_about_changing_behavior.html\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Safe-passing ordinance is about changing behavior<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nfrom www.mysanantonio.com<br \/>\nThe 7-year-old&#8217;s parents, Gregory and Alexandra Bruehler, were hit by a pickup and killed in October as they rode their tandem bicycle on the shoulder of Texas 16 north of town.
