The chief poobah is Ed Pavelka, a 30-year veteran of cycling journalism. He has served as editor of VeloNews, executive editor of Bicycling and produced more than three-dozen cycling books. His road cycling career dates to 1972 and emphasizes long-distance events.<\/p>\n<p>Until retiring in the spring of 2005, longtime cycling writer and coach Fred Matheny was RBR&#8217;s vice president and primary content provider. Lots of his writing remains on the free site and Premium Site.
