No doubt about it, I overdressed for today’s bike ride. The ride started at 12:38 pm under an overcast sky with 72 degrees (86% humidity). I wasn’t sure about the wind but when i finished the ride I found out it was from the SE at 12 mph with 20 mpg gusts. No wonder it was tough pedaling at time and the watts were high riding into the wind. The overdressed part came about because I wasn’t sure the temperature would get much higher than 72 so I wore a thermal long sleeve jersey (rather than a jacket) with a short sleeve jersey on top with shorts. At first i was comfortable though a little chilly until I warmed up. Once I was warm I didn’t really notice the heat building but when I finished the bike ride and took the thermal jersey off it was soaked.<\/p>\n

Before the ride I took these pictures of the Stradalli. I don’t think I took any with the PowerPod. Again the PowerPod performed perfectly without any issues.<\/p>\n

The route for today was the “Atascocita – Walden” one but I altered the beginning to get the mileage to 26.51 miles<\/strong> putting the month to date at 175 miles<\/strong>, leaving 170 miles to reach my goal for February.<\/p>\n

As the ride progressed the overcast sky improved to mostly cloudy and the temperature went up as well. When I finished at 2:37 pm it was 81 (73% humidity), higher than the forecasted 73.<\/p>\n

It should be like this on Monday allowing me to ride again.<\/p>\n
