I had a short time window for today’s bike ride. Leaving at 9:19 am I took the “Atascocita – Walden – E. Lake Houston Parkway” route and rode 27.12 miles<\/strong>. It was nice seeing more blue than white in the sky with the sun coming through. Weather during the bike ride: start 85 (72% humidity), partly cloudy, wind calm. Finish 92 (58% humidity), partly cloudy, wind 4 mph.<\/p>\n

On this shorter route it is hard to get long segments without interruptions which drags down my average speed. No matter how fast I go on the short segments the stops and starts add up. Same problem buses have on their routes.<\/p>\n

No rest stops and I encountered a couple of recreational cyclists along the way. My sit bones are sore from yesterday’s ride. I think the seat pad in the shorts I wore is worn out.<\/p>\n

Rain probability increases the next three days. I plan on biking if possible.<\/p>\n
