Two points about today’s bike ride: the temperature and reaching my mileage goal for September.<\/p>\n

When I got up this morning the temperature was 69 and by the time I was ready to leave 10:30 am it was 72. At first I wasn’t going to wear a long sleeve jersey based on my short walk to get the newspaper earlier but sanity prevailed and I wore a long sleeve jersey under a University of Cincinnati Bearcats short sleeve jersey. I was glad because biking at 15 to 20 mph is cooler than walking at 3 mph to get the newspaper.<\/p>\n

Due to a time constraint I chose the “Atascocita – Walden – E. Lake Houston Parkway” route and biked 29.47 miles<\/strong> which put September mileage at 703.89 miles<\/strong>, exceeding my goal by 3.89 miles<\/strong>. Hopefully with 3 potential biking days left I can add to that.<\/p>\n
