This week the weather has not been kind to my bicycling. Today the clouds mostly went away but a stiff NE wind awaited as I started the bike ride at 12:17 pm. With the somewhat late start I decided to ride the “Atascocita – Walden – E. Lake Houston Parkway” going 29.5 miles<\/strong>. This increased October cycling to 532.9 miles<\/strong>, 76% of my 700 mile goal. This I rode 88.92 miles, way below my usual. amount.<\/p>\n

Weather during the bike ride: start 70 (45% humidity), mostly cloudy, wind NE 14 mph, gusts 23 mph. Finish 70 (48% humidity), mostly cloudy, wind NE 8 mph. I dressed for the chill with shorts, long sleeve thermal jersey and a windbreaker jacket. I felt comfortable and at the end of the ride the jersey and jacket were damp from perspiration. When I rode in the shade the extra clothing was good. At first the sun was more visible but as the ride progressed clouds moved in from the south.<\/p>\n

When I came to Town Center Park there was a 1965 Shelby Cobra parked across from a restaurant and I took these photos.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
