Teen bicyclist rescued from high waters in Leon Creek<\/a><\/h2>\n

\nAn 18-year-old man was swept away by high waters in Leon Creek early Thursday while mountain biking on nearby trails, officials said.<\/p>\n

Firefighters responded to the rescue at about 4 a.m. along the Leon Creek Greenway North and began searching for the victim.<\/p>\n

\nHelicopter, ATV and boat units all responded, but firefighters were able to locate him before the search units were needed.<\/p>\n

The League of American Bicyclists is conducting a League Cycling Instructor training at the Houston-Galveston Area Council offices, Conference Room B, Second Floor from Friday, November 30, to Sunday, December 2.<\/p>\n

The training certifies instructors to teach Smart Cycling classes to children and adults to help them become more confident, safe, and intelligent cyclists.<\/p>\n
