Man on bicycle struck and killed by car in Port Arthur<\/a><\/h2>\n

PORT ARTHUR \u00e2\u20ac\u201d Port Arthur Police are investigating a fatal collision between a driver and a man riding a bicycle.<\/p>\n

Police responded to a 911 call reporting an accident involving a vehicle and a man on a bicycle at about 10:45 p.m. Tuesday in the 10000 block of the US 69 feeder road in Port Arthur.<\/p>\n

The bicyclist was struck and thrown off of the bicycle. He landed in the grass median.<\/p>\n

The victim was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center of Southeast Texas where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n

Investigators aren’t releasing the man’s name until they notify his relatives.<\/p>\n

Justice of the Peace Brad Burnett has ordered an autopsy.<\/p>\n

MIDLAND, Texas (BIG 2 \/ FOX 24) – West Texas roads have not been kind to bicyclists or pedestrians, and the City of Midland is no exception.<\/p>\n

On Tuesday morning, City Council members listened to a proposed amended ordinance spearheaded by Councilwoman Sharla Hotchkiss.<\/p>\n
