Pelicans soar. Turtles sun themselves. Everywhere you look, there are blue jays, cormorants, egrets, ducks. A great blue heron presides over newly planted wetlands. A bald eagle is rumored to live upstream.<\/p>\n<p>You can bike here from Hermann Park along the Brays Bayou Greenway, a 10-foot-wide path that currently dead-ends at a railroad trestle just beyond the park. A few good men are seeing that it does.<\/p>\n<p>This is just a brief summary of the Texas Cup \u00e2\u20ac\u201d a competition where riders earn points in road races across the state \u00e2\u20ac\u201d as told by TXBRA (Texas Bike Racing Association) Vice President, Andrew Willis.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas Cup was established in 2000 and at the end of each year awards the top three winners in each recognized category.
