Last week the Houston Chronicle ran an \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Outlook Transportation\u00e2\u20ac\u009d article on\nSunday, March 3, 2019, that described our unsafe highways and roadways. Since then BikeHouston has heard pushback on a project on 11th St. that would improve the safety of our streets and now, only yesterday, a young man was killed riding his bike down Height\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Boulevard. This is a place that we and many fellow Houstonians ride every day. We cannot express how deeply we feel for this man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s family and pledge to continue working to make Houston a safer place for people on bikes.<\/p>\n
