Day 23 Bracketville to Leakey, Texas: They Don’t Call It The Hill County For Nothin’\nTuesday March 19, 2019, 70 miles (113 km) – Total so far: 1,448 miles (2,330 km)\nWhat a day! Despite seeing the spikes etc on the ACA maps and worrying about the climbs, the start of the Hill Country was awesome. We enjoyed the scenery as much as any day since early in the trip and how nice to be off Highway 90.\nBut first, forgot to post able John and Lata last night. We met touring cyclist John and his dachsund Lata. They are riding east to west on a heavy duty Salsa. Lata is 15 lbs, food five pounds, extra water for the dog, plastic crate and.
