And by the time officials busted out the PowerPoint at 6, all but a handful of the seats in the 265-max-capacity council chambers were filled. But given the constant debate surrounding the subject of cycling &#8217;round town, the turnout was no surprise. Registration is still open.<\/p>\n<p>The Atlas will depart at 8 a.m. from Running Brushy Middle School in Cedar Park and offers a 25-, 50- or 70-mile option.<\/p>\n<p>The day-long ride will culminate in a party at Pillar Bluff Vineyards in Lampasas, Texas, with BBQ, live music and more. &#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"http:\/\/www.gosanangelo.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.gosanangelo.com\/news\/2010\/may\/28\/mcbride-does-much-to-give-back-to-community\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>BILL CULLINS: McBride does much to give back to community<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nby San Angelo Standard Times<br \/>\nWe have some very good endurance athletes here in San Angelo. We also have some good athletes who do more than just work out and race \u00e2\u20ac\u201d they really make a difference in their community.<\/p>\n<p>I want to spotlight one of those special people this week and award her the prestigious \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Athlete Who Makes a Difference\u00e2\u20ac\u009d award from Team San Angelo.<\/p>\n<p>The athlete I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m referring to is Christina McBride, an accomplished adventure racer, mountain biker, road cyclist, runner, triathlete, coach, fitness instructor, and race organizer.
