The first eighteen miles of the ride were on the I-10. Right about then, there was an access road that paralleled the interstate. It was a steady incline for about five miles to skunk canyon. Then a nice downhill ride where a barely had to peddle to Sierra Blanca. I rode the rest of the way to Van Horn on the interstate. It was smooth ridding on the shoulder of the road. There was hardly any debris and the road were smooth and fast.
