POLICE REPORTS: Officer helps replace child’s stolen bike<\/a><\/h2>\n

A Lufkin Police Officer helped replace an 8-year-old\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s bike that was stolen and damaged last week.<\/p>\n

Officer Hunter Smith investigated the theft of the bike, a post shared on the Lufkin Police and Fire Facebook page said, and learned it would be a while before the bike could be replaced. With the help of the Lufkin Police Association and LPD Cares, Smith was able to replace the child\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s bike, and included a helmet and lock to prevent theft as well.<\/p>\n

Was at Yellowbike yesterday and saw some fresh dirt from some digging that was being done for a sign I think.<\/p>\n

And then I got the idea of building a little trail in the open land in front of the Yellowbike building. I asked the good folk inside about it and they said they would be open to it, and in fact had been considering the idea before.<\/p>\n
