Work turned out nice; I wasn&#8217;t too far behind with emails and phone messages. By the end of the day I had worked through most of them.<\/p>\n<p>I was wondering how my evening ride would go since I haven&#8217;t ridden since last Wednesday with my hospital stay in between. The ride felt great. Despite the 102 degree heat index when I left work the air seemed dry and the puffy clouds offered my picture of life in Texas. The breeze ( 9 mph SE) was not over powering my efforts as I made my way along the route I had planned all day. Even though another rider zoomed by a couple of times I still rode with a gentle effort. One of the main things today was to offload all of the IV fluid that was pumped into me during the hospital visit. I think that was accomplished but in the morning I will know better.
