Earlier today the weatherman was predicting the outer bands of tropical storm Alex could bring some rain. I was hoping this would not be in the areas I planned on riding to this evening. After taking yesterday off to recover from the weekend I was really wanting to ride and get closer to my June goal. I am already short of the goal due to my hospital visit. The skies were cloudy and the temperature was only in the mid-80&#8217;s but the wind had picked up from yesterday&#8217;s rather mild breeze. At times during the day I saw wind speed in the 20&#8217;s\u00c2\u00a0 but during this evening&#8217;s ride it was 13 mph max.<\/p>\n<p>Alex will continue to mess with my riding plans for the next several days but I will work around him.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing unusual about this evening&#8217;s ride; no other riders spotted, roads were not damp except for a few spots and I felt good pedaling. I continue to use my Diadora shoes over my Shimano RD075&#8217;s. My feet feel liberated.
