Missing yesterday&#8217;s ride due to the rain I needed to ride at least 37 miles. Today&#8217;s ride came in at <strong>40.51 miles<\/strong>. The week now totals <strong>192.46 miles<\/strong> and September improved to <strong>622.47 miles<\/strong>, leaving <strong>78 miles<\/strong> to reach my goal for the month. With two days left to ride I will need to ride a long ride to reach my goal. Not riding my Kickr Snap yesterday when the rain stopped the ride put me in a hole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the early start the sun was just moving above the trees. Weather during the bike ride: start 75 (99% humidity, 74.5 dew point), a few clouds, wind SE 6 mph. Finish 91 (61% humidity, 75.6 dew point), partly cloudy, wind S 10 mph. The dew point at the start was very close to the temperature creating a very humid feeling. As the ride progressed the temperature increased but it felt like a fall day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other cyclists appeared along the route beginning as I crossed Lake Houston on FM 1960 going to the east. As usual they were friendly and waved when I waved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video recaps what I saw as I rode. The NiteRider Sentinel tail light got turned on at the start unlike yesterday. The brightness of the blinking LED&#8217;s stood out even in the sunlight. After biking 3:19:38 turning the light off when I finished at 11:34 AM made the low battery signal came on. I need to find a USB cable long enough to charge the tail light while attached to the seat bag. The clip design keeps it in place but also makes getting it off hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Saturday in The Sun Biking to Ramsey Road 9\/28\/2019\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BzoMWxKFKLY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Strava tells me that this ride was consistent with my usual efforts. Some physical data points:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>average heart rate 128 bps (73%)<\/li><li>max heart rate 151 bps (86%)<\/li><li>average power 120 watts<\/li><li>max power 443 watts<\/li><li>max average speed 13.6 mph<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sunday&#8217;s forecast includes a 40% chance of rain.
