Longview skatepark supporters reach $80,000 fundraising goal<\/a><\/h2>\n

A skate park will be built in Longview next year, after supporters shattered an $80,000 fundraising barrier.<\/p>\n

Brian Dodson thought it would take at least two years to raise the money needed to build a skateboarding and biking complex at Ingram Park.<\/p>\n

Groundbreaking on Tuesday for Georgetown sidewalk project<\/a><\/h2>\n

A ground breaking for a sidewalk improvement project will begin at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the corner of Sixth and Pine streets, near the former Texas Department of Public Safety office.<\/p>\n

The project involves building an 8-foot-wide sidewalk and accessible ramps on Seventh Street from Maple to Myrtle streets. The sidewalk improvement project includes sections of Eighth and Sixth streets in the vicinity and segments of Walnut, College and Ash streets within one to two blocks of Seventh Street.<\/p>\n
