Bike Around the Bay could cause traffic delays<\/a><\/h2>\n

GALVESTON<\/p>\n

Islanders and visitors should expect some traffic delays this weekend because of the annual Bike Around the Bay event, a 170-mile bike ride.<\/p>\n

The event raises money for the Galveston Bay Foundation and takes riders around the Galveston Bay.<\/p>\n

The ride begins Saturday in Baytown, and the 1,000 or more participants will make their way to Galveston via the ferry.<\/p>\n
