With winter less than a week away you expect winter like weather but today late summer weather returned. Starting the bike ride at 12:41 PM I set out on the “Oakhurst – Valley Ranch” route headed west and then north. 82 degrees awaited outside as I left the long sleeve jersey at home and wore shorts and a short sleeve jersey feeling comfortable the whole 27.15 miles<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I almost forgot what it felt like riding in this kind of weather. The strong wind made the ride north to Valley Ranch Bend Drive not so hard but the trip back to the south required extra effort due to the wind. Weather during the bike ride: start 82 (67% humidity, 69.9 dew point), partly cloudy, wind S 15 mph gusts to 31 mph. Finish 81 (66% humidity, 68.8 dew point), mostly cloudy, wind SW 14 mph gusts to 23 mph. The times I glanced down at the Elemnt computer riding into the head the power jumped around from 150 to almost 300 watts. Wind breaks and riding to the east help reduce the wind’s efforts to slow me down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the warm weather I saw other people along the route, some walking and some on bikes. One lady walking a dog got pulled back from wherever she was when the dog lunged towards me jerking her arm suddenly (captured in the video).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
