The weather in Abiline this year was great for the entire event and temperatures reached into the high 70s during the later races. The course conditions were loose the first 4 miles and particularly the start and finish areas. Although fast and flowy the course claimed lots of victims this year. Just an inch off the singletrack could leave racers, tires and spectators full of cactus spines. Flat tires and crashes were plentiful causing several DNFs across the teams.
