It includes miles of pavement rehabilitation and nearly 10 miles of cable barrier and guardrail.<\/p>\n<p>Velo Paso, a local bicycle-pedestrian coalition, expressed, the &#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/houstonbikeplan.org\/\">Houston Bikeways Program May News and Updates<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3>Biking to Work During COVID-19<\/h3>\n<p>For years I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve pledged to commute to work by bike. And, for years, a number of barriers, real or perceived, have prevented me doing that. Too much traffic, takes too long, need to run errands at lunch, what will I wear, too much stuff, not the right bike, too hot, too cold&#8230; the list goes on.<\/p>\n<p>Well, beautiful spring weather coupled with COVID-19 restrictions took those barriers down. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m into my third week of biking to work and loving it! With some improvements for safety and cargo capacity on my bike, I look forward to making this a routine. City staff worked diligently to find an opportunity to improve the Bagby\/Smith\/Holman intersection underneath for bicyclists and pedestrians.
