This is always a major mental milestone for me. Lately I have been over 5,000 annually so with July almost over and this level accomplished the other 2,000+ miles looks doable. I still have a c=good chance to make my July goal of 3,100 miles for the year.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s ride was a little tougher after yesterday&#8217;s 61 miles. The muscles were sore and I wasn&#8217;t sure they would loosen up but after a few miles I forgot about the soreness. The weather was cooperative after last evening&#8217;s surprise storm. The temperature was 92 degrees, calm wind and clear blue skies. Humidity was 50%. The heat did not seem as intense as yesterday. This did not lessen the amount of perspiration though. How does a person&#8217;s head produce so much water? No other riders were spotted.<\/p>\n<p>Today&#8217;s ride statistics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>miles = 24.39<\/li>\n<li>riding time = 1:38:43<\/li>\n<li>average pace = 4:03 min\/mile<\/li>\n<li>average speed = 14.8 mph<\/li>\n<li>max speed = 22.4 mph<\/li>\n<li>average cadence = 78.4 rpm<\/li>\n<li>max cadence = 106 rpm<\/li>\n<li>climb 155 ft., descend 156 ft., max elevation 108 ft.<\/li>\n<li>July miles 441.90<\/li>\n<li><strong>YTD miles 3008.55<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[nggallery id=82]<\/p>\n<p>[iframe http:\/\/connect.garmin.com:80\/activity\/embed\/41799100 465 548]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I made the 3,000 mile mark for the year.
