Whether stir-crazy or anxious to stay active while gyms limited capacity, more Austinites than ever turned to bicycles for their daily dose of outdoor recreation during the COVID-19 outbreak. In the weeks since, Austin&#8217;s community of &#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/bikeleague.org\/content\/75-organizations-earn-bicycle-friendly-business-awards-spring\">75 organizations earn Bicycle Friendly Business awards this spring<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3>by Lauren Jenkins | bikeleague.org<\/h3>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/bikeleague.org\/sites\/default\/files\/BFBs_By_Award_Spring_2020.jpg?w=1200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Biking is America\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s new favorite pastime. A look around your neighborhood is all it takes to confirm what data from Eco-Counter shows: more people are biking in more places than before the pandemic began. While states and communities play an important role in building the infrastructure for new riders to safely and easily go places by bike, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s businesses and organizations that give those rides bike joy by welcoming people biking to essential jobs or on weekend trips to pick up pastries.
