Hello Fellow Houston Cyclists,<\/p>\n

My name is Doogie Roux, and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m on the Board of Directors for BikeHouston. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m originally from Cheneyville, Louisiana. I grew up spending time with family in Houston often during the summer and for various holidays. After college, extensive travel, and work abroad, Houston became my home. This city is amazing. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s eclectic, unique, and diverse. What I love most about Houston is how it all comes together to create an amazing culture of love and acceptance in the city.<\/p>\n

During these unprecedented times, we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve all had to adjust in so many ways. From how we work, to how we socialize, and how we celebrate holidays. More recently, we celebrated Juneteenth. While social distancing on a holiday like this can be tough, we managed to celebrate and engage safely thanks to Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Bike Texas. HOUSTON \u00e2\u20ac\u201c Bicycles have been in high demand since the start of the pandemic, even thieves are desperate to get their hands on them.<\/p>\n

Surveillance cameras at Pearland Bicycles showed three crooks break into the shop at 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Video shows the men pulling up to the business in a white truck. Video shows one the thieves getting out with a crowbar to pry open the glass door, causing it to shatter.<\/p>\n
