What started 48 years ago as a group of friends riding through Houston in the middle of the night has grown to an event with as many as 1,000 riders gathering for a pre-ride party, costume contest, bicycle light contest and a fully supported midnight ride on a marked course with corner marshals, police escorts and SAG wagons.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, this year is different. We don&#8217;t feel it would be safe to organize such a large gathering in the midst of a pandemic. But, we don&#8217;t want the moment to go by without some recognition. We know many people look forward to participating every year and receiving a custom Chris Lockwood design T-shirt.
