I am your neighbor and your friend. I am a daughter, a sister, a mom, and a grandmother. Our kids went to the same school and we go to the same church. We&#8217;ve enjoyed each others&#8217; company at business meetings and social gatherings. We shop at the same grocery store and exchange greetings over the dairy section. I am part of our South Texas family and enjoy our South Texas hospitality.<\/p>\n<p>Wherever I go, I am greeted warmly, treated with respect, and people are friendly. The many people I interact with daily would not think of doing anything to jeopardize my safety or begrudge the bit of space I happen to be taking up at the time.
