But, the Davis Mountains boast some of the most spectacular scenery in Texas. With plenty of climbs, low traffic roads, and generally temperate weather, it is a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153must-do\u00e2\u20ac\u009d road trip for any Texas cyclist.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/wheelbrothers.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2.jpg\" alt=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p>The most famous route is called the Fort Davis scenic loop (peak elevation of 6,375\u00e2\u20ac\u2122). At 75 miles and over 4,000 feet of climbing, it is very challenging. They had come to honor late firefighter Ray Burciaga, who lost his battle with cancer last February.<\/p>\n<p>The Brotherhood Ride in an annual bike ride to honor fallen first responders. Dressed in matching blue and orange shirts, the cyclists began their journey across Texas on Sept. 6. There were 17 honorees this year, and despite impediments created by COVID-19, the brotherhood was determined to make each \u00e2\u20ac\u0153honor stop.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d &#8230;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/adudeabikes.com\/2020\/09\/12\/turn-it-up-to-11-months-of-daily-bicycling\/\">Turn It Up to 11\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6 Months of Daily Bicycling<\/a><\/h2>\n<h3>A DUDE ABIKES | adudeabikes.com<\/h3>\n<p>Oops, I did it again. I rode my bike every day over the last month. That makes it 11, and as everyone who has ever seen This Is Spinal Tap knows, 11 is just louder than 10. One month from now, assuming I am able to complete this self-created challenge, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll have a full year of biking every day. My average has been around 17 miles or so. Some days was just a bit, but sometimes it was quite a bit more. No matter how you slice it, homey, it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s an accomplishment to be sure. What it means, if anything, is debatable these days. But the fact is I did it so it means something to me. So I blog about it.
