I was eating raisins at the time. This has nothing to do with my bike ride this evening other than it was a major event. My wife has warned me for years not to eat Corn Nuts which I have not done but after I get the tooth fixed I might give them a try.<\/p>\n<p>The real factor in the evening ride was the heat warning the weatherman had issued. When I left on my ride the temperature was 96 degrees and the heat index was 106 degrees. I could feel the heat but I was also surprised at one point during the ride I was coming off the east end of the FM1960 McKay Causeway and entered a pocket of significantly cooler air. Sadly it last only about 100 feet of travel. Otherwise the skies were mostly cloudy and the wind was 10 mph from the SSE.<\/p>\n<p>No riders spotted during the ride.
