Denison approves grant application for Katy Trail project phase two<\/a><\/h2>\n

DENISON, Texas (KXII) – Denison City Council Monday approved a resolution supporting $1.8 million grant application for phase two of the city\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Katy Trail project through the Texas Department of Transportation\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s 2021 Call for Projects.<\/p>\n

It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s grant funding that goes towards bicycle and trail infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n

The city of Denison also qualifies for transportation development credits through TX-DOT which qualifies them for 100 percent funding from the state department of transportation for this project. They will not be required to match 20 percent of funding for this phase of the project, however, the city was required to …<\/p>\n
