2021, 51 miles (83 km) &#8211; Total so far: 85 miles (137 km)\nLast night before I went to bed I decided to check the forecast. The weather service forecasted possible rain after midnight. The future radar showed the storms passing north of Brackettville but I decided to stake down the tent and put on the rain fly. Just before midnight I checked and the weather service had issued a tornado watch which included Brackettville. About a hour later I checked again and the weather service had issued a severe thunderstorm warning with up to 1 inch hail and wind gust to 60 mph.<\/p>\n<p>Between 1 and 2 am I experience the first thunderstorm of the tour. It blew pretty good and did get some good downpours but I don&#8217;t think there was any hail. The tent held up and I didn&#8217;t see any leaks.
