Fredericksburg, TX to Austin, TX<\/p>\n

We had a thunderstorm last night, but today was sunny, warm and not windy! We are still in \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Hill Country\u00e2\u20ac\u0153, but it is our last day of over 80 miles and over 4,000ft of elevation! We got our new jerseys last night.<\/p>\n

Elli\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s super friend and guide, Susan, from Austin, joined us from Fredericksburg today. She knows the area well and just loves the camaraderie of a group ride. Though we are still in the \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Hill Country\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, where there is plenty of the beautiful limestone rocks, the trees are green here because …<\/p>\n

Monday March 29, 2021, 44 miles (70 km) – Total so far: 252 miles (406 km)\n\"\"\/<\/p>\n

It was 39F in Fredericksburg at sunrise this morning. Got up just after sunrise and started getting packed up. Left the campground around 8:45 with fleece pullover, cycling jacket, balaclava, and winter gloves on to stay warm. Rode 2 miles to breakfast at Hilda’s Tortillas. After breakfast it had started to warm up so I was able to start removing layers.<\/p>\n

Today’s ride was mostly on ranch roads. Still has climbs today but not as steep as previous days climbs but some how managed to climb 1900 feet today. During the first 25 miles must of seen 1800 feet elevation at least 5 or 6 times. I would climb to over …<\/p>\n
