A new 15 mile trail system in southeast Amarillo is underway<\/a><\/h2>\n

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – A new 15-mile hike and bike trail system at the Rick Klein Sports Complex in Amarillo is underway.<\/p>\n

Six Pack Outdoors has built about six miles of the trail so far and it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s already open to whomever wants to use it.<\/p>\n

They are working on adding technical features, bridges and several water crossings to the trail.<\/p>\n

\u00e2\u20ac\u0153Over the next three to four months were going to be finishing up the trail system out here. When we get that finished were going to start working on a skills area for people to develop a mountain bike and bike handling skills out here that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll have some wooden features and some dirt features on it,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d said Geoff Hall, a director at Six Pack Outdoors.<\/p>\n

Video has gone viral of a cyclist being tasered by police close to a university campus in Texas after the rider went through a red light \u00e2\u20ac\u201c although the police department involved, described as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Campus Cowboys,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d say that the widely shared footage doesn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t show the full story.<\/p>\n

The incident, which also saw the cyclist being tackled to the ground, happened last Wednesday lunchtime on University Drive near the campus of Texas A&M University in College Station, around 80 miles northwest of Houston, reports Kbtx.com (link is external).<\/p>\n

A College Station Police Department patrol car followed the cyclist through a junction, whereupon the rider turned round and was confronted by an officer who, as he pulled him from his bike, said: \u00e2\u20ac\u0153You\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re under arrest.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d …<\/p>\n
