If I waited later I probably would&#8217;ve been delayed by rain at my home. Or when I finished. While I biked to the south and east on my &#8220;Kingwood to Ramsey Road &#8211; Huffman&#8221; route it rained behind me. I rode my Lynskey R300 bike covering <strong>38.56 miles<\/strong>. This was my first bike ride since Saturday. Sunday intermittent light rain after I got home from church kept me indoors where I caught up on a number of bike races on GCN+. Yesterday I wanted to go for a ride but after finishing breakfast radar showed heavy rain approaching. It ended up raining 3.58&#8243; according to my home weather station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Surprisingly missing biking those days didn&#8217;t put me further behind 2020 YTD miles. After today&#8217;s bike ride I trail 2020 by 158 miles, a few less than before. 2021 stands at 3,617 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Biking east the sky looked better than behind as you can see in the video. At the start a light drizzle fell for a couple of miles. Later as I rode west over Lake Houston the drizzle reappeared. On the west side of the lake the streets were wet but no rain fell as I rode back to Kingwood. Good timing to avoid riding in the rain but my Lynskey R300 got plenty of grit and a wash after I finished at 2:03 PM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Photos at the bridge on Ramsey Road. The drainage ditch water behind the bike usually is lower but with all of the rain it&#8217;s moving water away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery columns-3 is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 My legs struggled pedaling into the headwind. After a short stop at the bridge on Ramsey Road I turned around and headed back. The sky looked threatening to the west but no rain.
