A new goal for the month of 700 miles. I need to average 23.33 miles per day to make that goal. Today&#8217;s bike ride was a good start with 35.35 miles. The began at 9:26 AM and finished at 12:03 PM. For the second time this year I rode what I call the &#8220;Community Drive &#8211; Valley Ranch &#8211; Gene Campbell Blvd&#8221; route. I rode on my Canyon Endurace bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"New Month, New Goal, August Heat\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/85EVnN43hZE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The month changed but the weather not much. Weather conditions: start 87 (75% humidity, 78 dew point), a few clouds, wind SE 4 mph; finish 90 (64% humidity, 76 dew point), partly cloudy, wind SW 7 mph. More clouds than yesterday. Light wind let me ride in most directions without a strong headwind. Usually biking SE on FM 1314 is into a headwind but not today. A couple of times I rode over chunks of rock that could cause a flat.
