Cyclists in Waller County allegedly hit by pickup truck<\/a><\/h2>\n

A pickup truck reportedly hit a group of people cycling Saturday morning in Waller County, a rural area where riders are known to go for long weekend country rides.<\/p>\n

Six were injured, including two taken by Life Flight and two taken by ambulance for treatment, said Waller County Sheriff Troy Guidry. The two others declined emergency transport.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred on the eastbound side of U.S. 290 around GH Circle, Guidry said. This was right at …<\/p>\n

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) — Multiple people were reportedly injured after being hit by a vehicle while they rode bicycles in Waller County Saturday morning.<\/p>\n

According to Waller County Sheriff’s Office, six cyclists were hit as they traveled eastbound on US-290 BUS.<\/p>\n

Authorities say two of the cyclist that were injured were treated at a hospital in Waller. Another two were flown to Houston for medical attention where one was treated for head trauma.<\/p>\n

The other pair was said to have refused medical care at the scene.<\/p>\n

All of the injures reported were non-life threatening, according to deputies.<\/p>\n

It is unclear what caused the crash. Officials have not commented on the condition of the vehicle’s driver.<\/p>\n
