Last October, the retired railroad worker began riding with his dogs and their custom-made carrier around Kingwood and can be spotted most evenings. \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcLast year with the pandemic and the election there wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t a lot of happiness or joy.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 Ruiz said. \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcAll I want to do is make people happy &#8211; to laugh. If I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve done that, even if I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t see their faces as they drive past, I feel like I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve done my job.\u00e2\u20ac\u2122<\/p>\n<p>Before the pandemic, Jose Ruiz walked his dogs every day without fail. As political tensions ensued over time, he wanted to make his local community smile. Ruiz attached to his bike a carrier for his dogs, and began cycling around the neighborhood, greeting everyone he saw.<\/p>\n<p>The 68-year-old, referred to as \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Joe\u00e2\u20ac\u009d by the community, has since made this his new daily routine, touching the hearts of everyone who sees him.
