Thursday October 7, 2021, 54 miles (87 km) – Total so far: 941 miles (1,514 km)\nA great ride to Alpine, a lot of downhill. Really nice terrain. A big Mountian goat jump out in front of me in this area. Tried to get a picture but hard to see.<\/p>\n

Friday October 8, 2021, 55 miles (89 km) – Total so far: 996 miles (1,603 km)\nLast night we were treated to a talk on astronomy by a local who lives at the RV park. He pulled out a giant telescope and we saw Jupiter and Saturn. This area gets very dark with no outside lights so there were several other amateur astronomers there as well. This man\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s level of knowledge was mind boggling.\nStarted the day at 5:30 am since I have meal duty today with Romaine. She was very stressed about getting everything set up and we had some \u00e2\u20ac\u0153words\u00e2\u20ac\u009d; but we hugged it out and all good now. It\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s really a lot of work doing all this work in the dark, relaying on headlamps. Bike Refuses To Cross Scary Lucy Park Duck Pond Bridge<\/a><\/h2>\n

My gas powered mechanized hauling device took me and my bike back to Lucy Park today to do some wheel rolling.<\/p>\n

In the photo documentation above, we are stopping to consider if it a good idea to ride across that short bridge you see the handlebars pointing to. That bridge looks innocuous enough. However, I have walked across that bridge on previous visits to the Lucy Park Duck Pond and found this bridge a challenge to walk on. It moves up and down and rocks left and right.<\/p>\n
